Hello crafty friends, Sarah here with a layout for you using the amazing STEAM themed April kit. This 6X8 layout will go in to my 2018 memory planner album and was perfect for this month's theme.
STEAM refers to Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathmatics - all great for my two boys who are the focus of my scrapbooking. This particular day on the school holidays though, both boys wanted to get painty and so we did! I love this photo of my youngest son - I captured his gorgeous smile quite randomly, but it worked well for this layout.
I created the background of the layout using some gelli printed pieces of deli paper I had at home adhered to the cardstock with gel medium. A perfect 'arty' look for this layout. I added some background stamping in black ink and matted the photo on the star patterned paper that came in the kit. The cut aparts were added and host the quote from Sydney Curewitz Clemens - 'Art has the role in education of helping children become like themselves instead of more like everyone else'.
The April embellishment kit can be purchased online here. Let's remember what's in the kit.
This Kit is so versatile for many themes - those lego building pics, playdough, construction or even a steam train themes layout. The gorgeous world fabric badge could be used for a travel theme, and how about for the moon post its and cut aparts a 'love you to the moon and back' layout? Fantastic kit to use on a multitude of layouts. Here's a close up of my favorite wooden piece from Corbett Creations.
I hope you enjoyed this layout and will hurry to pick up your April kit if you haven't done so already! Until next time....

Raelene - April STEM/STEAM Kit - Connor
Raelene here with a layout recording my memories of some of Connor's love of all things STEM/STEAM using the April STEM/STEAM Kit.
I prepared for this layout by typing up the 3 memories I wanted to record and printing them and then sorting through my photos to find pictures of him around the ages that each memory is from.
I knew I wanted to have his name at the top and I wanted to use the awesome STEAM wood veneer from Corbett Creations but I didn't have any other plans for how this layout would come together, here is the Process Video so you can see how it all came together from a messy pile on my desk to being a layout I absolutely love.
I loved what Lisa did with the wood veneer so I had to do it on this layout, unfortunately I wouldn't realised until I was taking photos of the layout that my words are upside down, oh well adds to the quirk.
I just love how this cluster came together.
How cute is that wood veneer compass?
This Robot washi was just perfect to have near 4 year old Connor, cute little cartoon robots to enhance my memory of the first time he said he wanted to be a Robotic Engineer when he grows up.

Lauren ~~ Double Page Layout ~~ S.T.E.A.M.
Hey everyone and welcome.
I decided to narrow down collection of photos of my boys engaging in S.T.E.A.M. activities - so Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths.
(it was very hard to narrow down to just two photos from each topic!)
I then used small card size paper to print via selphy the 10 photos, and tried experimenting with how to position them on the layout. I knew immediately that I would need to do a double layout due to amount of photos (even in their small size).
After a little while I had brillant idea to use black cardstock to make the photos and embellishments pop.
I kept the focus on the title and embellishment and the photos rather than many layers of papers and added embellishment clusters.
So I backed the photo clusters with white cardstock and and found their position on the layout, leaving the bottom third of the right side layout for title and embellishment cluster.
I commited to the photo positions and used white signo uniball pen to journal brief point about each - Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths in my boys life.
It was then fun to play with the embellishment goodies in the April Scrapping Fun Kits to make a title and embellishment cluster to highlight the S.T.E.A.M. concept - which is a big part of my children's life!
I knew the wood veneer word was perfect title and starting point for the title and embellishment cluster.
I then layered the atom cutfile, robot charm, wood veneer science lab coat and homemade computer chip flair and the label ......and wella perfect embellishment and title cluster for this double page layout.
White doodley border FTW and we are done.
Simple but super Effective!!!!!!!!
thanking you, Lauren.

Sarah - Autumn TN Kit - Remember
Hello crafty friends, Sarah here with another Travellers Notebook layout using the Scrapping Fun Autumn TN kit!
This layout was a little self reflective and a good reminder of those few points I'd like to keep focused in my life. The patterned paper in the kit was cut in half and adhered down. The blue doliy and paper ric rac complimented the blue in the photo. It was the tag with 'remember' on it that inspired the layout - what do you take your inspiration from? Is it the photo, colours of the paper or perhaps an embellishment that catches your eye?
I layered a number of the tags and one of the cut aparts from the kit under my photo. The arrow, 'a day in the life' and 'dreams' cut aparts helped embellish the layout.
Lastly, I added the letter stickers that come in the kit to create various words - smile, have fun, relax and you've got this as key reminders for when I look back on this in times to come.
I hope you enjoyed this layout and will be quick to get your TN kit from Scrapping Fun Kits at https://scrappingfunkits.blogspot.com.au/

Lauren ~~ Galaxy Background ~ April Kit
Hey guys this was a super fun experimental layout.
I dragged out distress oxide inks to play and hope that it would look like a galaxy as a base to use April kit.
I smooshed purple, blue and grey oxide ink over the page, I then covered it with black to made the colour shine through and made it look like the colour has great depth (like a galaxy).
It was then fun to put white and black ink splatters around to look like stars and planets floating in space.
I border my photo of my boys with the star black and white paper, having it attached to the layout so that it looked like it was floating off the side of the page.
I then added the world motif and the moon, so looked like distance between them both. A rocket was a fun addition to make it look like it was travelling from the world to the moon.
A white signo pen was the perfect journaling pen.
You can check out process video to watch how I made the background and layout...
Thanks for checking out my layout.

Lauren ~~ Easter Moodboard ~ Travelers Notebook Easter throwback (layout without photos)
Hey Everyone,
the Easter Moodboard was exciting and nice complimentary challenge for the March kits.
I did also use it as an opportunity to finally use some of my Easter Stash.
I dont have any childhood photos of Easter but I do have memories that wanted to document.
So I had fun decorating the page before journalling.
The top Left section started with the adorable bunny washi, with ripped banner of purple patterned paper, word strips and sequin eggs.
I used the button eggs, as they too cute not to include.
Bottom Right corner was also a fun embellishment cluster, using strip of patterned paper some more word strips and sequin eggs.
I used some of my stash to fill in more gaps and get set journaling my heart out.
Hope you enjoyed this TN share.

Morgyn ~ Card, tags and Labels... Oh My! ~ April Kit
Hi everyone,
I have a bit of a different project to share with you all today. This months Scrapping Fun Kit was based around a S.T.E.M (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths). At first I didn't know what I was going to create, but after looking at all the cute little pieces I realised I could make a few things.
First up is this little card I made for Sam to give to his best buddy (he is turning 6 soon).

First up is this little card I made for Sam to give to his best buddy (he is turning 6 soon).
I used the black star paper as my background piece, then cut out the 'to the moon and back' card as my large focal piece. I added the cut apart start and a couple of sequin stars from my stash. I didn't have any yellow alphas so I coloured some white ones in with a marker and finished off the title. This card took all of about 6 minutes to complete (including cutting time) I love a nice quick project.
Next up I wanted to make a little tag that I could put on his gift, so I cut out a tag shape from some cardstock. Added 2 strips of washi tape to the bottom then fussy cut the rocket ship and added a couple of sequins. The blue twine was left over from a previous kit.
I still had this adorable wood veneer (shout out to Jodi at Corbett Creations) pieces that I really wanted to use. I thought for a bit then realised they would be perfect as folder labels for our homeschool subjects. I cut down some white card stock to 2x3 inches attached a strip of washi tape to each, glued down a wood veneer and added some alphas from my stash - it doesn't get much easier than that, and they look so adorable!
I do have a short process video up on my channel if you want to watch me make all this goodies.

Raelene - Easter Moodboard - Bunny Eggs
Today I am sharing my layout for the Easter Moodboard.
I decided to scrap photos of my boys with their eggs from a few years ago.
I started by using 2 of the papers from the March Embellishment kit to create some layers across my Kraft TN Insert from the Basics Kit, ten added the photos to the purple egg paper.
I added the bunny washi from the March Embellishment Kit and this lovely autumn feeling washi from the Autumn TN Kit to the top and bottom of the layout so there wasn't so much brown showing.
I then added words from the cut apart, eggs fussy cut from the journal card and the gorgeous bunny charm to finish off my layout.
This was a very quick layout to create which was really important as I only had 20 minutes of craft time on the day.
Here is the March Embellishment Kit, that I used for majority of this layout.
There are still a couple of these kits available so if you would like one head to the Subscription Tab and fill in the form. Enter March in the promo code box so I know you want a March kit.
If you would like to enter the Moodboard Challenge just head to the Challenge Tab for details.

Lisa - April Kit - To the moon and back
Hello again and welcome to my second layout using the Scrapping Fun April embellishment kit.
The photo I have used is one of my favourite photos of my Grandson stargazing with Mummy.
I have used a black cardstock for the background and matted the photo on several layers of printed cardstock one of these being from the Kit. I have then used the washi to add a little colour but not too much.
As the title, I have used the cut apart from the Kit and just highlighted the word Moon with a black Artline pen.
I embellished under the title with some Green raffia in a bow tied to the metal Molecule/Atom Symbol and Wood veneer geometric compass.
Moving up the right-hand side of the page, I have used some tiny words from my stash on the side of the photo and tucked the Earth patch from the kit under the photo.
I have used the Moon Sticky in the corner which I mounted on a piece of black card to give it some stiffness and then tied some more green raffia around it as if to "Lasso" the moon. I am not sure if you can see but there is some plastic mesh under there which I have anchored the lasso too.
Moving over the left side of the photo I have used the cut apart stars and tag/label to add some balance, interest and journalling.
The white "splatter" type cardstock under the journalling tag I made with a Kaisercraft template and some gesso. I was going to use it as my full background but it was too much so cut it down instead.
A Little washi from the Kit on the side again for Balance and I have tied some more raffia to the mesh anchor on this side which goes into the corner.

Sarah - Autumn TN Kit - Colour My World
Hello crafty friends, Sarah here with you using the amazing Autumn Travellers Notebook kit from Scrapping Fun Kits. The washi tape in this kit is amazeballs! I just had to use it on this layout about my oldest son.
Scrapping Fun Kits have released this Autmn TN kit and I must say, it is so generous!! The amount of embellishments, tags, paper and washi it fantastic!! On the right hand side of this TN page I adhered strips of the washi tape, slightly overlapping each of them. I then mounted my photo on a piece of the patterned paper in the kit, tearing it at the bottom to give some texture. On the left hand side, I also applied some of the washi tape, cut the round tag and the the cut apart 'family time' and layered these together.
I stamped on the background using various background stamps, then adhered some of my painted deli paper with gel medium. When using gel medium to adhere deli paper, it gives a translucent effect. Using the letter stickers in the kit, I created the title 'You Colour My World'.
I hope you enjoyed this layout and will be quick to get your TN kit from Scrapping Fun Kits.....it's got many, many layouts in it!!

Lisa - April Kit - 5,4,3,2,1
Hello, and welcome to my layout using the April embellishment kit by Scrapping Fun kits. This has to be one of my favourite kits so far and this layout was made during the wee hours of the morning when I couldn't sleep.
You never run out of S.T.E.A.M (Science Technology Engineering Arts & Mathematics)using the play on words was perfect for the photo Subject with my young Grandson who is so full of questions and wonder at this age. The Little Metal Robot is just the cutest thing and had to take pride of place. The papers I have used are from the Sugar & Spice Studio, "Space" paper pack.
I have used the Journal Block from the Kit Cut Aparts and the Atom-Molecule die cut to slightly accent the photo. As the paper is so vibrant I didn't want to use many embellishments here.
I had a white space to the left of the page that I didn't know whether to leave or not, but creativity kicked in big time at about 3am and I wanted to use the cut apart Rocket from the Kit so much. I painted some wood veneer numbers from my stash in the primary colours and placed them like a take-off countdown. I used Kaisercraft Ink sprays for this in 3 coats with no preparation of the veneer beforehand. Now the dilemma of how to make flames and smoke. I am not an Artist in this way. So I just sprayed some orange Kaisermist on a piece of white cardstock and used a black Artline pen to create the detail. I cut it out stuck it all down with the rocket on top and then created the flames coming out of the rocket and coloured that in with a red waterbased pen. It really is a colourful design and I love how it has turned out, it really matches my Grandsons personality and his love of space and science at such an early age. In a couple of weeks, I will share the second layout I created with this Kit which I also love with my Grandson as the subject.

Morgyn ~ Little Easter Bunnies ~ Easter Moodboard Challenge
Hey Scrappers,
Morgyn here with my take on the latest moodboard challenge over at Scrapping Fun Kits.
This is such a awesome mooboard, mainly because I love purple and of course the adorable billbies.
I decided to use my travellers notebook for this layout, if you haven't given this size a go, do yourself a favour and grab one (you can get this one in the basic's kit) it's really fun to work with.
I knew the perfect photos to document for this layout, my 2 little bunnies from Easter 2017. Roman was only 5.5 days old and so tiny. I used the purple paper from this months Scrapping Fun Kits Easter kit to mat my photos (it's the same paper as in the moodboard... too perfect 👍)
I designed this little eggy boarder in Silhouette Studio then cut the white part out of cardstock and all the little eggs from some scraps of purple and pink paper (I love finding ways to use up scraps).
*I will leave a link to silhouette file below*
I found a whole sheet of heats in my stash and used them as some little photo accents. Then added in my title using this super cute puffy alphas, before finishing off the page with a doodle boarder.
Click here to grab yourself the Silhouette file for the eggy boarder
You can check out my YouTube Process video here.

Raelene - White with 1 April Challenge - Friends
Raelene here with my Guest Designer layout for the White with 1 April Challenge.
The March Kit had some pieces that were perfect for the April Challenge so I set the 2 items aside for this challenge and pulled some other cute bits from a upcoming kit.
You can see how this layout came together in my Process Video.
I started by selecting a photo that would work with the sketch and the colour.
This photo taken on the day my Mum met her lifelong best friend in 1982 was a weird size due to how my local photo printing place resized it to print, it had been a square photo but they made it a 3 x 6 inch photo. So I thought this was a good one for the sketch instead of 3 small photos and due to the colouring in the photo brown suited quiet well.
I stayed fairly true to the sketch with this one, I loved the hidden journalling option in it and used the tag to record what event this photo was from.
I used the felt trim from the March Kit instead of paper for the top right section of the sketch and the ribbon from the kit as the ribbon in the sketch. I also trimmed some flowers, leaves and a bit of vine from the felt trim to use as embellishments.
The other papers are up for consideration for a upcoming kit, what do you think of them?
I wanted to add this lovely lace that is from a upcoming kit so I added a small bit just under the photo mat on the left bottom paper, I love the little extra pop it gave the layout.
How cute is this burlap flower that will be in a upcoming kit?
I love how the leaves from the felt trim work in with the flower and lace.
This friends chipboard from the School Kit was the perfect title for such a important day.

Raelene - April Kit - 13th Birthday Card
Raelene with a quick post sharing Mr C's 13th Birthday card with you.
I used the Rocket and starts from the cut apart and the paper from the kit to create a quick card. I love the results and can't wait for him to see it.
There are still a few spots left for April so if you would love a kit head to the Subscription Tab and fill in the form.
