Lisa - Spring Mood Board Challenge
Hello and welcome to my mood board challenge blog. The challenge was to use this mood board to create something other than 12x12 or 8x12. I found this challenging to start as I usually only do 12x12, but I also love doing Tags. I used to sell my Tags on eBay once upon a time, they haven't been as popular in recent times but I want to bring them back. They are great to use on layouts.
The Birds and Flowers in the mood board inspired me the most and I had this little Wood veneer Bird in my stash who has been through the wars a little and needed a home.
I started with a 10x18 piece of timber patterned paper and trimmed the bottom with a green patterned paper, which I have torn, to simulate a grassy ground. I embellished it with some little buttons (I love Buttons).
I perched my little bird on a branch made from cardboard by drawing him some little legs.
I added some Mulberry Paper leave and flowers to the branch.
Some more flowers have been added to the bottom corner and overhanging the tag a little.
I also had this "Bonjour" word veneer in my stash which I thought matched well with the "spring" mood board theme.
Across the top of the tag, I have simply just diagonally cut the corners and added a complimenting piece of patterned paper, then hole punched the top.
I used a mix of very thin raffia to match the colours used in the tag and exaggerated the bow a little to add a little more interest to the top.
I loved the end result and I can't wait to use it in one of my future layouts. I hope it inspires you to create some tags to use in your future layouts. It's a great way to use up your Scraps & Stash too.

Alicia - DD Kit - Documenting December Preparation
Alicia one of our Scrapping Fun Fans/Guest Designer sent me these photos of her DD preparation a a while ago and has given me permission to share them with you.
I love seeing all her goodies spread out in this photo. In addition to the DD kit Alicia is using the Exclusive Christmas Kit from 2016 that prompted me starting Scrapping Fun Kits.
I love the cluster she has created on the red polka dot bag from the kit.
She has used part of one of the gold doilies, a epoxy flair and a tag from the DD kit in addition to the bag.
I love the cute way she added the Christmas Bells from the DD kit to the felt Santa Letter envelope and added the envelope in as a insert.
Such a fun way to use the punchinella.
I love that Alicia found alternate ways to use things such as this bit from the beaded trim being used as a tab.
Such a lovely cluster using a silver doily, and a journal card from the DD kit with a flower from the Exclusive Christmas Kit from 2016.
I love how she used part of the beaded trim to make a page marker.
And the cute shaker pocket that has the tiny resin candy canes in.
Twine helps this kraft insert pop. Simple but effective.
Thank you Alicia for letting me share what you have created so far with our DD Kit.
What have you created with your DD Kit?
If you would love one of these kits we still have a few left so why not head to the Subscription Tab and order one.

Morgyn ~ Travellers Notebook ~ Best Buds
Hi Scrappers,
I'm sharing a little layout I created using the Spring kit from Scrapping Fun Kits
I took this photo of the boys on a recent trip to Toowoomba. They both looked so cute on the big swing together and I just had to scrap it. The spring kit was perfect kit to accompany this little picture.
I really wanted to use the floral stripped paper and found the pink polka dot paper matched wonderfully. I edited my photo using the Rhonna Collages app to add a polaroid frame around it.
I used some washi tape and word sticker across the top of the frame.
On the opposite page I added the date to the library tag and used some tiny word stickers to add the word Toowoomba. I did my journalling on the flower paper then added a couple of stickers from my stash and washi from the kit to finish off the page.
Here is the completed page

Sarah - DD Kit - Stay Cool
Hello crafty friends, Sarah here with the very cool November embellishment kit. Based on an Australia feel, this kit is once of my favs! I completed two layouts for you using this kit, and have heaps of content left over for other pages in my Documenting December album. These photos were from Christmas Eve at Lakes Entrance. We were away for Christmas and hit the beach nice and early in the day.
I love the patterned paper in this kit (I just adore circles, dots and spots!) and the cut aparts were great too - the 'stay cool' and green banner on the bottom left corner are always handy. The most favorite part of the kit however is the surfing santa ribbon - you'd have to agree it is just so cute! The silver charm prawn is also adorable and totally us! Let's take a closer look;
The chipboard from Memorymaze Lasercuts was custom designed for this kit - Christmas is all about family. I covered this piece with black ink and covered with clear embossing powder. I heated it and love the shiny, textured finish of the title.
I also completed a second layout for my album, also taken on Christmas Eve. This is of my youngest son looking out of the caravan window waiting for Santa to arrive. Whilst it was still early in the evening, he was eagerly awaiting for this special event.
The chipboard 'Christmas Eve' on this layout was again from Memorymaze Lasercuts and inked with Stampin Up's blue lagoon ink and clear embossed. Whilst you cannot see the true ink colour on the layout, this was picking up on the blues in the coloured paper photo mat. This chipboard is from the Scrapping Fun Kits Documenting December kit. The photo mat paper is from the November embellishment kit. Let's take a look at the other embellishments in this kit - the 'merry' flair and coloured candy cane buttons are just adorable.
All of the base pages for the layouts in my Documenting December album are from Close to my Heart. I hope you enjoyed this post and be sure to check out the November embellishment kit whilst stock lasts! Until next time....

Morgyn - DD Kit - Making my Documenting December Notebook
Hi Scrappers,
Hope you are all getting ready for the Christmas season, I know I am!! December 1st just can't come quick enough, to put up the tree and decorations :)
Here is a little walk through of how I put together my Travellers Notebook style album. If you would like to watch my more in depth process video on how I made this you can check it out here.
First off I cut down some 12x12 pieces of cardstock (all from different collections) to 6x12. I used a bone folder to put a crease down the middle of each and arranged them together to form the book.
Next I put some clips on the edges of the book to keep it in place while I stitched it together. First I marked in 1 inch spaces along the middle then pre punched the holes with a needle. Then using some black cotton (doubled over) I stitched up the middle front and back to make it nice and strong.
Once it was all held together nicely I cut a 1/2 inch strip off the open side so my notebook will be 6x5.5 inches in size. I made it as big as possible knowing I could cut it down further if i found it was too large.
Adding the finishing touches; I cut down this piece of patterned paper from an old Stampin' Up! collection and adhered it to the front cover.
I used some grey paint to paint my chipboard 'December 2017'. Once that was dry I used some silver stickles to a bit of glitter. Sadly I was a little heavy handed and broke my wood piece - it glued back together just fine :)
Lastly I used a strip of washi tape to finish off the edge and glued my wood piece down and added one of the holly leaves to the top corner. I might add a few more pieces as I complete my pages, but for now I am calling in done.

Lauren - November Kit - Elf
Welcome back readers!
When I sat down to create again with the lovely Christmas inspired November Embellishment Kit I was inspired by the goodies and my choice of printed photos to make a project life layout.
I dug dig into my stash of different type of project life page protectors to get the 6 vertical 4x6 pockets page protector.
My son had chosen some of his favourite antics that Zac the elf had done last Christmas (2016), and these were the four photos I used.
I started by cutting two 4x6 cards out of the patterned paper, using the tree and the mistletoe pattern papers for those two cards. I then got started on individually embellishing each card/photo.
First Card - I used a cut-a-part label with the words Stay Cool, added a candy cane button and a label for journaling (label from stash)
Poor Zac the Elf!
Second card - Filler Card.
Used the mistletoe patterned paper for the base, added the 3x4 filler card, the tree paperclip, a label from cut apart sheet, washi and stickers from the Aussie plant sticker sheet.
Third Card - Back to a photo.
Kept it simple with the other half of the label from previous card, a strip of washi, one of the handmade flair, added a puffy heart (from my stash).
Cheeky Zac eating our lollies!!
Another Filler Card - using the tree patterned paper as background, using a oval frame sticker to start. Added the beautiful handmade flower and layered some flower stickers behind that lovely 3D paper flower.
Used a cut-a-part word that I added a banner to and used pink sharpie to outline the word to make it stand out more, and added the rest of the title (handwritten).
Zac hiding in the tree with a new Christmas video for us!.
Added washi to a piece of white cardstock so that can be placed on top of the photo (and not be totally transparent) - topped it with a beautiful handmade flair. To draw your eye to bottom of the photo added the lovely exclusive chipboard title - kept it natural to make it stand out on this photo.
To round out the layout, I started with the word cut-a-part - added fish tail banner on each end of it. Layering it on the ornament patterned paper and attaching to bottom of the photo with tiny attacher. The candy cane button gave that embellishment cluster some more interest. Finishing the photo off with the corner sticker from Aussie flower sticker sheet.
Zac thought he would cook some smarties for us HAHAHAHA !!
With Four embellished photos and two filler cards the project life spread was completed. Love the Aussie Christmas look of this layout.

Sarah - TN Basics Kit - In Any Kind Of Weather
Hello crafty friends, Sarah here with you with another Travellers Notebook layout. I must say I am just LOVING this style of memory keeping. I'm loving the smaller photos, the ease of printing them and loving the new Scrapping Fun Kits basic Travellers Notebook kit. If you havent seen this already, please check out the fantastic clip by Lauren on her Youtube channel at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHGOfjFJl9A
Here is what you will get in the kit;
For this layout, I used a photo of my husband and myself to celebrate our relationship and how we can go through 'any kind of weather' and still be strong. I was attracted to the 'weather' theme of the basics kit, though this layout just goes to show you dont have to go with the obvious intention of the kit contents. The YOU and Me was stamped from a stamp set I had in my stash.
I used the fantastic days of the week washi provided in the kit to highlight the vertical edges of the layout. The large ampersand is in the kit as well as the gorgeous cloud paper embellies. The stickers for the title are from the Design Team exclusive the kit and the small weather stamp from the basics kit was a nice finish to the layout, highlighting the title - 'any weather'.
As seen below, I layered some patterned paper with pocket cards on the left side, which using a tag that can be pulled out for my journalling. In this Travellers notebook style, I have vowed to include more of my own voice and journalling, though I still like to hide it a little, particularly if it is more private.
If you havent already, hurry to get your own Travellers Notebook basics kit - this is available until sold out. Thanks for joining me! Until next time...

Lisa - November Kit - Aussie Christmas
Hello everyone. Are we looking forward to Christmas? Our Christmas celebrations are pretty laid back, usually, we go to Mum's but last year my grandmother passed away a few weeks before and so we just had a quiet one with direct family. The food spread is generally the same at mum's although on a much bigger scale and she cooks everything, whereas I store bought it all LOL...
This Scrapping Fun Embellishment kit was perfect for these photos, they are probably the most recent photos I have scrapped and I printed them all on my Canon Selphy. I love the quality of the prints. Again I have done a double layout, I don't think you can do a Christmas Day spread on anything less, can you?
For this Layout I used a sketch I found on Pinterest as inspiration. I have used the gorgeous Surfing Santa Ribbon from the Kit under the photos and trimmed it with the coloured metal baubles also in the Kit. I decided to do an Australian Flora inspired embellishment cluster, the flowers and leave are from my stash and I have used the Wattle/Gum Nut Flower stickers and the prawn charm (which matched the photo perfectly) from the November Kit.
This is the First page - I decided to just use the title CHRISTMAS because even though it is an Aussie Christmas for us it's just Christmas 😀
On the Second page, I have also included an embellishment cluster using the gorgeous handmade flower from the Kit as the centre. With some gum leaves and red flowers from my stash, the rest of the Embellishments are from the Kit. I have coloured the Chipboard cut-out with Silver Stamp ink. First I painted it with Gesso and then dabbed the stamp ink on.
I have continued the Surfing Santa Riboon through to this page and put the Journalling underneath. I rarely handwrite journalling of this length but thought I would give it a go this time. I prefer cursive writing, but can't do it very well, LOL. Might have to teach myself one day.
Below is the full Double page spread. I hope you enjoyed my Aussie Christmas Layout using the November 2017 Scrapping Fun Embellishment Kit.

Sarah - Spring Moodboard Challenge
Hello crafty peeps, Sarah here with my very FIRST travellers notebook (TN) layout! Can you believe it! I am so late to the trend but could really see myself loving it. The size is so compact and easy to complete without much time at all. This layout was inspired by this months moodboard - the colours primarily attracted me. Love a bit of purple and yellow. This TN will be a focus on stories I want to tell about me and my time on the planet, so I thought this was a fitting first page. Let's take a look;
I completed this page using the Scrapping Fun Kits Design Team exclusive kit - there's such a great amount of papers and embellishments to complete many, many layouts. Lauren has a great unboxing clip on her you tube channel where you can see all of the kit contents and it will give you an idea about future kits and what you can expect to recieve.
Now there's a few things as a rookie TN scrapper when completing this layout that I'd like to share - even though you may already be across this - if using water and painty stuff, it's a good idea to gesso your page. I did not and ended up gluing the first page to the second to give it some extra srength once it was dry. The TN pages are uch thinner than what I am used to scrapbooking with. Second lesson - stamping on a TN with your MISTI isnt so easy with a little bound book...I will need to probably do this by hand only if I want to stamp directly on to the page. Oh well, all was okay in the end - lets take a look at how I created this page...
Using Brushos (powder based water colour), I added some Violet and Sunburst Yellow to the page and spritzed with water. Dry with a heat gun. I then found the embellishments I wanted to accompany my photo. This saying was one I had downloaded from the internet, saved and printed it at home on my printer. It defintely resonated with me and was ideal for a TN about me!
The circular journal spot in the kit was cut down to poke out behind the photo (this is a great way to maximise the embellishment and use the rest of the circle for another layout), the purple dotted paper, paper bracket and butterfly were also from the Design Team Exclusive kit.
Using my MISTI (most incredible stamping tool invented) I positioned my title and stamped down on to the TN directly. I used the Elle's Studio Title Builder stamp set (one of my favs!). This was a little tricky give the booklet and the position, but I managed to get it stamped - not prefect, but okay.
I then added some yellow enamel dots from my statsh. The yellow complimented the washi used on the top left of the photo - this washi is also from the kit! Thankyou for joining me and if you havent already, be sure to subscribe to the bi-monthly travellers notebook kits or the fantastic monthly embellishment kits at Scrapping Fun Kits! The Travellers Notebook basics kits are also available until sold out....get in quick!
