Raelene - September Kit - Bellingham Maze

Hi Scrapping Fun Fans.
Raelene with you today sharing my layout using the September Kit I created with a photo from many years ago when we took the kids to Bellingham Maze on the Sunshine Coast.  I will add a second layout for the journaling as there is a fair bit to tell about this day.

Though this trip was in Autumn I still loved using Spring supplies for  it as it helped with the fun feeling of the day.

I did have a creative block while working on this layout so I reminded myself of what I said in a post on Mercy Tiara's group Saturday and just stuck things down, I committed and hoped it would work.
I started by sticking down the bird and butterfly washi in the top corner but I needed to stick more down.  I needed to stop thinking about how it would all come together, I needed to just get the paper layers down and then play with embellishments and let the supplies work for me.
I finished off with a wobbly pen border.

I love how this layout turned out, them embellishments really helped make it a fun layout.

Due to technical difficulties my Process Video has not been able to be uploaded.  Hopefully tech support aka hubby can fix the issues later today so I can share it with you.

A Beautiful Day card by Sarah Rosse

Hello crafty friends, Sarah here with another simple project using the gorgeous September kit from Scrapping Fun Kits! The background of this card was created using Distress Inks - simply smudge some ink on to your craft mat, spritz with some water and dip your cardstock in to it. Dry in between layers to prevent colours from mixing in to a muddy colour. The stems were stamped in Black Staz on ink using a nature themed stamp from my stash. The flowers, of course are the selection included in the September kit. The saying on the card was from the kit, backed on to some black tissue paper.
You would have to agree that the crocheted pansy is just adorable....perhaps my favorite! I hope you enjoy the kit as much as I have....even after two projects, I still have more supplies to play with! A fantastic, value packed embellishment kit for sure. Until next time....happy creating!

Coralee's Bloom'n Mount Coot-Tha Layout

Good Morning Scrapbooking Friends!
Today I bring you this fun and pretty easy layout featuring the time my partner and I went to Mount Coot-tha. This isn't the original layout I had made for this month but unfortunately some cheeky little child hands got to my previous one before I could photograph it!

I made most of this layout using items from this months kit.

So I started out with my 12x12 paper from the Sugar & Spice Studio Wildflower Paper Pad. This partiuclar paper worked perfectly with tying my photo's and the items from the kit together.

Next up, I fussy cut the BLOOM letters and the cute little clouds (and sun) up the top.

I used the yellow paper from the kit behind the photo and paper doily and sat everything in place. After a good amount of time staring at the page I decided it was too bland - so in came the butterfly and thread! This part was rather simple. First I stuck the top bit around the back of the page with some tape. Then I looped it a couple of times, threaded on the butterfly, looped it around the page some more then stuck the other end on the back just the same. Voila! Cute layout complete!

Bloom by Sarah Rosse

Hello crafty friends, Sarah here with a lovely Spring bloom layout for you! I know I was glad to see the end of Winter, but my daffodils were the clear sign that Spring was coming, even throughout the harsh conditions of Winter. The dashes of yellow in the garden are always a welcome sight that time of year.

This layout was created on green Bazzil cardstock using the gorgeous September Scrapping Fun Kits, a nice compliment to the colours of Spring. The title was hand cut from the cut apart sheet in the kit, as was the cloud embellishment on the top right corner of the layout.
The photo was matted on the two coloured pieces in the kit and the buterfly washi tape is absolutely adorable! The washi tape with the birds on it, the wooden veneer and butterfly charm are just beautiful.
The sequins provided in the kit are just a perfect way to finish off this layout. I added a time date stamp also so I can slip this layout in to my family album.

Just a reminder that we only have 4 spots left from October onwards for Scrapping Fun Kits subscriptions, so head to the subscribe tab on the blog here and fill in the form so you don't miss out. I hope you enjoyed this layout and I cannot wait to see what you create with your September kit!

Morgyn ~ September/Spring Kit ~ TN layout

Hi Scrappers,

A quick layout share today using this months Scrapping Fun Kits spring themed kit.

This layout was done in my Travellers notebook as part of my 'all about me' project.  I actually struggled with this layout a little 1. because I was trying not to use mixed media on a layout (just a personal challenge for me lol) and 2. because I wanted to use EVERYTHING in the kit as it was all so pretty.

I started with the Spring To Do list and wrote out a few things I wanted to achieve in the next 3 months, my first goal was to loose weight. So I decided to use this photo of Roman and I going out for our daily walk - the Spring weather is perfect at the moment.

Next I made a little banner at the top with some of the bird washi tape (perfect as there are always so many birds to see and hear on our walks). I cut a strip off the cloud card to add under the washi and finished it off with a yellow flower - It reminded me of the sun.

Next I created 2 little clusters under my photo using more washi, a flair and the 'Beautiful Day' cut apart.  The little word sticker was from my stash.  I felt the page was pretty well finished at this point.

Lastly I added the bird clip to the top and my journaling to the green label and that's the layout done.  Thanks for stopping by to check it out.

Morgyn ~ September/Spring Kit ~ A4 layout

Hi Scrappers,

Morgyn here sharing my first project using this months Scrapping Fun (September/Spring) Kit.
I loved the colours of this kit purple with yellow is one of my favourite combos. I had this lovely photo of my sister taken while we were in New Zealand so chose to use this with the beautiful florals.

I left a white border around the edge of my photo then mounted it on a piece of black cardstock.  Then started working on my embellishments.  I really wanted to use the floral paper behind my photo but it was just a tad busy so i cut a strip of it and laid it behind the photo along with the white doily and tag from the kit.

I then made a little cluster using the beautiful handmade pansy and some of the little flowers and sequins and finished it off with the 'beautiful' word label.

To finish off the layout I added a little embellishment cluster to the top left corner of the page and mounted the layout on black cardstock, added a small line border and called it done.

Please check out my process video for this layout over on my YouTube channel.

Thanks for stopping by,

Morgyn  xx

Lisa - September Kit - My Sister, My Friend

Hello and Welcome to my 2nd Layout using the Scrapping Fun September Kit. I have experimented with some mixed media in the background, I am not too sure about it so let me know what you think.

I used a straw to put some ink spots in the background and then used a foam blender to squash the ink into these blobs, accenting them with hand-drawn flowers which I have decorated with sequins and beads from the Kit.

I have used the patterned paper from the Kit behind my photos and distressed the edges with Ink. To the left of the photo, I have an embellishment cluster using mostly items from the Kit. I adore the crocheted Butterfly and the handmade flower.

Along the Bottom of the Photo, I have used the string of flowers from the Kit. The original photo was in colour but I changed it to black and white as the colours in the photo were clashing with the Kit colours but I really wanted to use this photo.

Across the top of the photo, I have used the paper doily from the kit behind the title and the gorgeous Bird washi from the Kit underneath the kit "Date" cutout

I love this photo of my daughters. I hope they enjoy this layout as much I did creating it.

Lisa - September Kit - Spring Blooms & Grows

Hello, Scrapping Fun Kit fan's and welcome to my Design Team Blog using the September Kit with a Spring Theme. I had these gorgeous photos that were taken at the Toowoomba, QLD Spring Carnival in September 1997 and had to scrap them using this beautiful Kit.

I chose this creamy coloured background and laid this lace Die Cut across the top half of the page. The paper lace is from some wedding themed banners that I found at my local discount store. The Photo in the background is the floral street without the family and the Photo in the foreground is of the family in the same street. So I decided to combine the 2 photos together to give it that 3D effect. The Silver Metal Bird from the Kit added a special touch to the photo and blends in so well.

To the right of the photo's, I have created this embellishment cluster using all embellishments and cut-outs from the Kit. Trimming the Cut-outs with a little Vintage Ink from a Kaisercraft stamp pad helps bring them off the page. I also used a little Foam tape to help lift it as well.

Moving down to the Bottom half of the page now, I have trimmed the lace with the gorgeous butterfly wash tape from the kit.

I have placed a full 4x6 Photo to the left and continued the title underneath the embellishment cluster. I have coloured the alpha's using stamp ink to blend in with the soft spring colours of the theme. using the tiny puffy flowers to add some interest to the title and using the cutest Wood veneer Bicycle in its raw form to complete the design.

I really hope you have enjoyed this soft spring layout using Scrapping Fun's beautiful Spring themed September Kit.
