Amy - March 2019 Kit - Snuggle Bunny Baby

Hey Scrapping Fun Peeps,

Amy here with a mixed media project for my second design project for this month. I decided to scrap an older baby photo of my baby girl, its about 5 years old now.

I started with some texture paste through an older Kaisercraft heart stencil, and just went part of the way around the edges of the cardstock as I thought doing the entire layout would look far to heavy.

I then added my photo and thought it needed some layers behind it to give it some emphasis off the texture paste. So I layered it with some of the patterned papers and also the teal material piece we got this month. I thought the material would add some interest as well as a hint of texture to the photo too.

Next up was embellishing as the page looked quite bare to me even with all that texture paste, I did think about adding more mixed media (inks, watercolour) but reached for our kit to see what I could find and came up with a larger embellishment cluster using the ribbon, bunny die cut and a cut green button.

And for some more texture (because why not) I added some of the purple twine we had in the kit too tucked in behind the bunny cut out.

For my journaling I thought I would use the cute rabbit cut apart and then cut out some of the little phrase pieces to pop around the page for extra sentiment.

My title are thickers from stash and the colour match in well with the colour of the blanket in the photo.

And there is my layout completed. A sweet, cozy little mixed media layout using our March kits.

Stay tuned for next months projects, we certainly are flying through these months!!

Happy scrapping fun
Amy

Shay - March 2019 Kit - Best Bunnies

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to this months layout with the fabulous Scrapping Fun Kits March 2019 kit. So many delightful goodies in this months kit.  I started off this month with a picture of my best friend and I from last Easter highlighting our friendship but also Easter. I loved the teal material in this kit, so unusual and luxurious at the same time!
Teal fan made with the March's Netting Material in this month's kit.

I had so much fun doing this layout, I had to really push myself to what I considered my comfort zone.

It's beautiful greens, purples, Easter theme the kit got my creative juices flowing. This gorgeous bunny was part of the kit and I made a cluster using the die cut grass (also part of the kit) and the words Collect Memories which is from this months cut apart sheet. The Teal and Brown paper is from the kit as well.

I did this layout on a live video for Scrapping Good Time.

Overall I am really delighted with this kit so much to choose from and not just Easter!

Amy- March Kit- Crazy Bun Head

Hey Scrapping Fun Fans,

Amy here to share with you my first project using our March kit. I have created a 12x12 layout with a cut file (found in the Silhoutte Studio), and am documenting some fun I had last Easter with my children during a trip to the shops.

For the cut file I have used one of our patterned papers to back it and then off centered it slightly to its silhouette behind it. I inked the edges of the silhouette to make it pop a little when looking at the layout. I have also added the blue cloth that was in the kit just to add a hint of texture to the page too.

A simple photo mat of white cardstock (left over from the cut file cut)gave the photos a nice clean border. I added the tag, one of the buttons and the tassel to create an embellishment type cluster between the cut file and the photos.

I have then added some of the tiny words from the cut aparts we have in the kit to my photos and popped some of the little metal flowers next to each of these just for some balance and to draw the eye these.

I have back my journalling banner with another of our patterned papers, and added the title using some thickers from my stash.
And that is my first layout completed for this month, stay tuned for my next post soon.

Happy creating
Amy

Julie - March 2019 Kit - Fed Square

Good morning Scrapping Fun Kit people,

Today I want to share the second layout I have created using the March 2019 kit.

I just love these colours together. I hate brown and generally I do not use it in any of my layouts but I am really happy with how these two colours combine.

I have a video that you can watch here, showing how I created this layout.

I have used some Glass Bead Gel and a Crafters Workshop stencil called Two Hearts to add some texture to the background. While the stencil was still in place I gave it a light spray with some Dylusions Ink Spray in Vibrant Tourquise.

I also lightly sprayed the text tag that was in the kit with the same spray.

I cut the patterned papers into "L" shapes to layer my photo.

I cut a piece of the lace from the kit and added it to the lower left section of the layout and what was left I threaded through the hole in the tag to give that a little more dimension.

I created the flowers by cutting the left over papers into varying sized circles and then cut the mesh from the kit into circles to layer on top of the papers. The centres are made with the tiny metal flowers that were also in the kit.

The beautiful little turquoise tassel was attached using a brad to complete the cluster on the bottom right of the photo

The "Beautiful Smile" chipboard was heat embossed with black embossing powder for some added shine.

The journalling and the border around the page & tag were done using Dylusions Paint Pen in Campso Teal.

I hope you enjoyed my layout and don't forget to check out the subscription details here

Thanks for dropping by
Till next time
Hugs
Julie

Raelene - March 2019 Kit - Happy Times

I haven't added Easter photos into my journal from 2017 yet so I decided to do a standard TN sized layout that I can tape in as a tip in to my journal for that year for my next layout using the March 2019 Kit.

I used some of the tiny scraps I tore while making my Easter's On It's Way layout and tucked one in behind my photo and placed the other 2 in corners.  To add another layer behind my photo I added a small scrap of torn purple cardstock behind it.

For my embellishment I added the teal bunny from the cut apart and some of the washi from the kit.

I finished it off with the tiny word from the word cut apart that says Happy Times and journalled briefly about the photo.

I love how it turned out and can't wait to add it into my journal.

Raelene - March Kit - Easter's On It's Way

I had some photos of the boys preparing treats for our Easter celebration in 2017 that I really wanted to get scrapped but one of them the lighting angle has affected the quality so I knew it needed a darker background than the usual spring themed Easter supplies provide so this Autumn Easter themed kit was perfect for getting these scrapped.

I love the torn paper look on layouts but I often forget to do it when I am speed scrapping so for this layout instead of pre-cutting my papers into smaller scraps ready to use when layers I took inspiration from Julie's layout and tore 2 thin strips off each paper, 1 of each I tore into smaller pieces for my corner clusters.

I matted my photos with a scrap of Kraft Cardstock and glued my layers and photos down with Helmar Acid Free Glue.

For my embellishments I decided on the eggs from the cut apart and some stickers from 2 Echo Park Easter themed sticker sheets; this year's Easter wishes and last year's Hello Easter.  I pulled in some chocolate bunnies, eggs and a cute chicken and Easter bunny from the stickers to build my embellishment clusters.
For the tiny eggs I cut them from a border strip from the Easter Wishes sticker sheet.

When cutting the pieces of sticker away I noticed the waste piece between this border strip and the one above it and thought it would be a cute extra layer in my papers so I cut some off to add to my paper layers.  When adding it I carefully peeled back my papers a little and just sort of poke it in so the white was under the papers and just the colours were showing I then glued the edge of my papers back down with Helmar Acid Free Glue.

I used a tiny word sticker from the Echo Park stickers and added the Easter Eggs tiny word from the word sheet I just trimmed the outline off so they looked like they were meant to be together.

I finished my layout off with the year and a doodly boarder.  And then I decided to move a sticker so my date looks like it is floating but I still love my layout I just have to decide what to add next to the date.

There are still a couple of these kits available so if you would love one of these kits head to the Subscription Tab and fill in the form.  :)

Julie - March 2019 Kit - Hot X Buns

Hello Scrapping Fun Kits fans, Julie here.

Today I am sharing my first layout as a member of Scrapping Fun Kits Design Team.

This is my layout and you can see the process video here

and a closer look.

The only things on this layout that were not in the kit are the sheet of white cardstock and the sheet of purple cardstock, everything else was included. There is so much in the kit I still have enough for at least one more layout.

I used a cut file that I created on my Scan N Cut and an SVG file I found on the internet to cut the Easter eggs out of the background cardstock.

I cut the white cardstock down to 11" x 12" and added a 1/2" strip of purple to the top and the bottom of the layout.

The eggs were then backed using some of the cardstock from the kit.

I used what was left of these patterned papers to add the torn strips to the left hand edge of the paper.

All of the embellishments that were added were from the kit too.

The title was cut using my Scan N Cut and the same cardstock that I have used at the top and bottom of the layout.

I have recorded the process of creating this page and you can see it here
There is also an Unboxing Video here if you want to check out everything that comes in the kit

See you soon with another layout using this great kit.

Cheers
Julie
