Amy- May Fundraising Kit- Spoonie Life- Moodboard Challenge

Hey Peeps,
I am back as guest designer with a traditional 12x12 layout for this months Moodboard challenge, as my 2nd project. I went with a purple background as that is the signatory colour for Fibromyalgia, 1 of the chronic diseases I battle each day. I am absolutely loving the zebra stripe tissue paper so used a big piece of it to break the purple a little in my background, and then laid my photo which is of the spoon theory over the top. I do explain the spoon theory a little more in my video, but is an easy way for those with chronic illnesses to explain the way in which their bodies use energy versus a 'normal' body.
I have embellished the page again using some of the gorgeous little pieces in this May Fundraising kit and pulled in a few extras from my stash.

Sarah - May Fundraising Kit - 'Strong'

Hello crafty friends, Sarah here with you today and I am so pleased to be able to share my layout using the Scrapping Fun Kits May Fundraising Kit .
Scrapping Fun Kits is fundraising for Starlight Children’s Foundation this month. All profits from sales of the May Embellishment Kit and kit extras will be donated to Starlight Children’s Foundation. If you would like to donate directly to Starlight Children’s Foundation you can do so via their website https://starlight.org.au/donation-form.

For this 6x8 inch layout, I painted colour on to the background and wiped through a stencil to get the leaf pattern. The photos were layered on paper from the kit and the gorgeous zebra print tissue paper. I used the washi tape to layer under the photo and the zebra heart from Charms Creations (also in this month's kit) to be the host of the Corbett Creations wood veneer word 'strong'. I used this layout as a little 'pick-me-up' and included some stickers from my stash to remind me that I am a strong woman!
The layout was completed with some of the kit's butterflies being fussy cut and adhered. I added some light stamping in black ink to the background as well as some Posca paint pen markings and a doodled border to finish off the layout.
Thanks for joining me and I hope you liked my project using this amazing May Fundraising Kit! Get online and get yours today!

Morgyn ~ May Moodboard ~ Remember Kindness

Hey Everyone,

Morgyn here sharing my take on this months moodboard challenge.  I am creating in my travellers notebook for this challenge.

May is the Awareness month for Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (zebra), Fibromyalgia (purple) and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (blue) among other things.  Raelene (Scrapping Fun Kits) was inspired to create a Moodboard for May featuring the colours of awareness for each of these conditions.

I used the large pattern paper from this months embellishment kit as my background piece.  I then mixed come texture paste and black gesso together and used it through this stencil that's been sitting in my stash unused for the longest time. I really love how this turned out.

Next I used this 'beautiful' die cut piece and a fussy cut butterfly to create a little embellishment cluster to the bottom left.  I added a sequin from my stash.

Next I added another fussy cut butterfly and some more purple sequins to the top right corner to balance it out.  Finally I used the 2 wood veneer words from the kit to finish off the page.

I would love it if you popped over to my YouTube channel and watched my process video.

Thanks for stopping by

Morgyn  xx

Amy- Guest designer - May Fundraising Kit -12x12 layout

Hey all,
I am up as guest designer this month and today I have my 1st project to share with you using the May Fundraising Kit. I thought for my 1st project I would show how you could use this kit to document something other then chronic illness. So here I am documenting a rare nice photo of my son and I at at a recent family event, I am actually documenting the strong and unique bond that we share.
I used a distress oxide to colour the word 'strong' cut file and used it as a kind of title. I have also used a variety of the embellishments that came in the kit to embellish my page (aren't they just adorable) and the zebra pattern tissue paper as a matte for my photo.

Raelene - May Fundraising Kit - Strong Man

The wood veneer Strong in the May Fundraising Kit was just the prompt I needed to pull out the photos from this wonderful night and record this story.

The paper from the kit was the perfect mat for drawing the eye to E as he was wearing a blue shirt.
I built my layers with a strip of the zebra tissue paper from the kit and this cute doodle paper from a Kaisercraft #Me 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad.  I also grabbed 2 borders from this paper pad and a die cut arrow and circle.  And for my background I used a sheet of Echo Park Soccer Words Paper.

I partially matted my ticket on a scrap of black cardstock to help it pop and give some protection to the rest of the layout if the acid and lignin in the ticket become a issue at a later date.

I adhered the sweatband he wore as part of his costume down with some Helmar's 450 Quick Dry Adhesive on the back.

I divided the Beautiful die cut from the cut apart in the May Fundraising Kit into 3 pieces and tucked it behind various layers in the layout.  It added just the right amount of blue to the right hand side of the page and some cute dimension.

The arrow from the 6x6 paper pad was a great way to ground the wood veneer from the kit, I also pointed it towards my son in the photo to draw the eye to him.

I love how this layout turned out.  The orange and blue worked really well together.

Raelene - White with 1 May Challenge - Baby Girl

Raelene here with my Guest Designer layout for the White with 1 May Challenge.
This colour was perfect for scrapping this precious photo of my granddaughter as it matched her cute beanie so well.

Majority of the items used in this layout came from a upcoming kit which was inspired by this month's colour prompt.
The paper frame and the smaller piece of paper are from the TN Kit range and the cute daisies are from the June 2017 kit.

You can see how this layout came together in my Process Video here.

I used the frame to add a bit of extra dimension to the bottom left embellishment cluster.

I cut part of the large chiffon flower from the kit away to use as a layer in this cluster, I love how it pops out from under the piece of crochet doily.

Once I started playing with the supplies and creating layers and clusters I just kept adding bits and I love how it turned out.
